Contact and positioning switches with reliable reproducibility

PDF

MisumiUnder its own brand and within the Sensors/Switches area, Misumi offers a diverse range of contact and positioning switches for a wide variety of applications. The high-quality components are sure to impress in applications which require the utmost precision and reliable reproducibility. The range comprises six designs with a total of 101 types.

In addition to the commonly used contact switches, there are also narrow and heatproof switches, switches with a stopper, tappet and precision-contact switches as opening contacts (18 NC) and closing contacts (64 NO), which are usually available within six working days. NO-type (closing contact) compact contact switches were added to the portfolio in 2011.

In applications with sophisticated position control or position monitoring tasks, the durable MISUMI products ensure very precise switching points with a high switching hysteresis. Depending on the type of switch, the signal point repeatability is between 0.0005 and 0.001 mm, the contact point life span between 500,000 and 3,000,000 cycles and the operating temperature between 0° and 80 °C; for heatproof contact switches, an operating temperature of 200 °C is possible.

Depending on the requirements of the respective application, users have a choice between several non-corroding material pairings – between straight and angled designs, and between a conical head, ball head, cylindrical head or pin head. The wide range of product variants feature four fastening methods: screw in with flange, screw through with external thread, screw on and clamp. The range covers IP protection classes 67, 65, 47, 44 and 40. 5 and 6-mm smooth diameters are available, as well as M6–M10 standard threads, M5 x 0.5–M12 x 1.0 fine thread and products with/without an LED in the connection line.
