The “Chainflex CFLG.G” TPE fibre optic cable family, for constant movement in energy chains, supplies data to crane and conveyer systems all over the world. The two Igus cable series “CFLG.6G.TC” and “CFLG.12G.TC” have 6 or 12 gradient fibres in 50/125 µm or 62.5/125 µm, even work at arctic temperatures as low as -40 °C. The cold-flexible glass fibre optic cables are halogen and PVC free and provide maximum EMC safety coupled with high glass fibre transmission quality.
According to igus, they offer even more safety and long-term stability on freely suspended and even gliding travel distances up to 500 metres or more, under extreme conditions. The TPE outer sheath of the cables is extremely abrasion-proof as well as resistant to oil and bio-oil. The special design with braid-covered GRP rods and aramid torsion-protection sheathing ensures maximum protection for the optic fibres of the fibre optic cables. The gradient fibres are bedded in special gel that remains flexible even at low temperatures.
