With the “Feederplus6”, Strothmann has proved that a transfer system which unloads, orients, and feeds parts into presses all by itself can work more efficiently than double feeders or articulated arm robots, especially in small press gaps. The handling system with six linear and rotating axes is exceptionally fast and flexible. It processes up to twelve large parts per minute with a repeatability of ± 1.5 mm.
The Feederplus6 is programmed like a standard robot. The feeder allows for a better synchronization of modern, computer-controlled presses and is also suitable for retrofitting old presses. The two models have standard load capacities of 80 or 125 kg including the tooling and can be installed in small press gaps with a minimum distance of 5,500 or 6,500 mm between press tables. The systems Feederplus6 and Feederplus8 are employed in combination in many applications in press automation. The precise technology ensures that press lines can be operated at maximum speed.
